Artec 3D scanners to be demoed at Stanford Medicine X conference

|

Artec will be presenting its 3D handheld scanners at Medicine X, Stanford’s premier conference focusing on emerging technologies in health care. Over the three day conference last year, Medicine X reached over 5,500,000 unique individuals and generated over 169,000,000 social media impressions from its video live stream and Twitter hashtag #MedX.

You’ll be able to find the Artec team in the 3D Printing Experience Zone, a dedicated demonstration area where leading 3D scanning and printing companies will be showcasing their technologies and answering questions about how 3D technologies could work in a health care context.

Artec handhelds Eva and Spider are often used to design prostheses, such as this one for the gastrocnemius muscle or for replacing the broken part of a toucan’s beak. In May we presented a new scanner, Space Spider, which ensures the most stable scanning results even in fluctuating ambient conditions.
